Under Construction - More to Come Soon!

All that is required for evil to prevail is for good men [and women]  to do nothing.

The Board That Chooses To Do Nothing

The Board of Directors of the Stanwood Community and Senior Center does absolutely nothing.  When the Executive Director they hired five years ago commits gross misconduct all Members of the Board back her vicious lies about the Resident Assistant and the Senior Citizen and back her assault on the Senior Citizen (view Document) by doing absolutely nothing. The Members of the Board did not ask for one single scrap of evidence to back up the allegations made by their Executive Director. The Board Members did not ask to hear the other side of the story from the Resident Assistant and the Senior Citizen. The President of the Board did worse than nothing. She publicly backs all of the Executive Director's lies by adding three pages of her own toxic lies to the evil brew.  Neither the Executive Director nor the President of the Board have any personal knowledge of the Senior Citizen. The Executive Director had spent a few minutes conversing with the Senior Citizen one time only. The Resident Assistant was present for this brief conversation.  The President of the Board had not had any contact with the Senior Citizen.  The President of the Board had not had any contact with the Resident Assistant.  Yet she typed three pages of false accusations against both of them. Even more appalling is the fact that the Mayor of Stanwood  who is also Treasurer of the Board of Directors backs all the lies and the assault by doing absolutely nothing.  A Stanwood City Councilman is a Member of the Board and backs all the false accusations and the assualt by, you guessed it, doing nothing.

Firing Resident Assistant, April Brodnicki, was not enough for Executive Director, Michelle Johnson. She took out a temporary Order of Protection against Senior Citizen, Ray Finney, on March 29, 2010.  Michelle wrote four pages of lies telling the court that she needed this Protection Order because Ray was Unlawfully Harassing her.  (view Document)  On April 12, 2010 a hearing was held to determine whether or not Michelle could have a One Year Order of Protection against Ray.  The Judge did not believe Michelle's lies and stated that Michelle had not proved that Ray had been harassing her. Michelle's petition for a One Year Protection Order was denied.  (view Document)  While we waited in the courthouse foyer for a copy of the Judge's ruling April overheard Michelle instructing her Executive Assistant, Terri Riffle, to check out the rules for being a member of the Center to find a away to cancel Ray's membership.

Firing April was still not enough for Michelle.  She wrote ten pages of the same lies to Employment Security and April temporarily lost her Unemployment Benefits. (To view documents see Document Index)  Two months later on July 6, 2010 Judge Brenda K. Pahmeier did not believe Michelle's and Vicki's lies and ruled in April's favor.  April's Unemployment Benefits were restored.  (view Document)

This did not slow Michelle down at all.  On Friday, July 30, 2010 Michelle called our friend (a resident of one of the senior apartment biuldings) down to her office. Michelle told our friend that Ray was banned from the center.  She told our friend that if Ray came to play cribbage the following Monday, August 2, 2010, our friend had to call the police.  Colleen Wilcox, Service Coordinator, was a witness to this harassment of our friend. We believe that Michelle tried to use our friend to do her dirty work for her.  Our friend called Ray after their  meeting with Michelle and sounded very distressed.  Ray attended the cribbage game without incident. The next Monday, August 9, 2010, Michelle accompanied by Colleen came to the room where the cribbage games are held.  Michelle gave Ray a written notice that he was permanently banned from the Center based on, guess what, more false accusations. The ban letter was written July 30, 2010.  It wasn't delivered until August 9, 2010. (view Document)   After reading this article our friend asked us not to use their name. Our friend stated, "I don't want any more problems with Michelle."

To this day we do not know why the Executive Director, Michelle Johnson, has been so obsessed with keeping Ray Finney away from the Stanwood Community and Senior Center.

I, Ray Finney, have attended several board meetings and executive management meetings.  In over forty years I have never seen an Executive Director or Board Member ever put their hands on anyone during a meeting.
